PlasmaCut

PlasmaCut takes a shape that's been drawn in the later versions of DesignCAD and converts it to a text file (in Essi 3 format) that can be used by many CNC controllers on Plasma shape cutters. It was originally written replace an obsolete DOS based program that worked with the early versions of DesignCAD.

Kerf (cutting head offset) can be set to left or right as default, turned off or on or changed by numbered codes or line colours. Utilities include Autonumber, Vee-notch (shown on left to mark fold lines) & Pierce - to pierce centre holes for drilling later.

The program needs "tidying up" a bit for commercial use but will be made available soon if there is enough demand. There are several utilities with it to prepare the drawing for cutting - i.e. quick methods of drawing lead-ins to lines and circles and for showing the cutting path and order.
